TEQUILA INFUSION

There is no wrong answer here, add whatever combination of fruits you like or happen to have on hand. Let your imagination run wild. The tequila will take on whatever flavors you add to it. I like to make this in a large jar with a spigot and eat the drunken fruit while sipping the tequila slowly. This stuff tastes like candy and goes down very easy. It really sneaks up on you. Consider yourself warned.

Serves a party

2 750ml bottles silver tequila
3 white peaches, pitted and sliced
4 kiwis, peeled and sliced
1 pineapple, cored and sliced
2 pints strawberries, hulled and sliced
1/4 medium seedless watermelon, chunked

For purely aesthetic purposes, layer the fruit artfully in the bottom of a large jar or pitcher and pour the tequila over it. Let it macerate over night at room temperature, the fruit will dye the tequila a beautiful pinkish color. Shake over ice and serve in chilled glasses.

A great cocktail needs no introduction.  Whether you like them shaken or stirred, whether you’re throwing a swanky ultra lounge party, or just need a stiff drink after a hard day, you’re sure to find something to suit your fancy in the following pages.  It’s not hard to see that “froo-froo” drinks have a fond place in my heart.  After you sample a few of them, they will have a fond place in your heart as well.  Cheers!
